Here's the official first draft and rough run through of the song, recorded on my iPhone. I keep tweaking until I've got the words and cadence just right, then I go to the studio.
ARTWORK CONCEPT
'I Don't' had the quickest turnaround for single artwork. We knew we loved the vibe and creativity with 'Cross The Line' and we wanted to keep that consistent moving forward. We didn't want another copyright fiasco like Cross The Line so we wanted to use our own pictures and luckily we had a ton from the night we filmed the music video. These two below were cool but nah...
MAKING THE VIDEO
This one was rough..... We knew we wanted to get views of the city from the ground but without crowds of people. So we planned on a late night/early morning shoot. We woke up at 2am, met downtown at 3am, then waited for the director because he overslept - can’t blame him. Anything and everything bad that could happen, happened. Not only did his camera fall and shatter, my Chevy Impala broke down, but it was also the coldest night Orlando had in years. We couldn't feel our faces....
MUSIC VIDEO
With this video - I wanted to get a ground view of the city with a mix of old, vintage, dirty with big buildings, beauty, and new. Our goal was to blend these seamlessly and get up close with you. The shots up-close and from POV of inside my Impala were meant to feel like you were right there with me. I hope you enjoy it.
